I design, create and support Linux solutions

Having worked with Linux for many years now, I have seen the common mistakes people make; I've come to understand the needs of those who want to simply host a website and send some e-mails. These people just want stuff to work, and I've got the knowledge and experience to make it work.

I can, amongst other things:

• Design sensible and stable solutions, and then implement them;
• Manage said solutions and other solutions you might already have;
• Document things correctly and accurately;
• Google really well - the sign of a good engineer ;)

Things I do every day

There are some very common tasks which I repeat over and over, as people repeat the same mistakes as those who came before them. Because I see these mistakes, and resolve them, everyday, all day, I have a pretty good head on me. Some of the most common situations I find my self resolving are:

• Managing Plesk & cPanel issues
• Setting up or fixing DNS records
• Prevent spam tagging of out-bound e-mails
• Manage user access and accessibility
• Install software
• Migrate data from 'a' to 'b'

And so on. As a lot of these situations are common place, I've designed a few set price packages below which I hope you'll find attractive.

Prices & availability

As I work full-time, I am only available for general system administration work; five-ten hour per week, maximum. My fixed rate packages are generally also a fixed set of time, so let me know your time constraints and dead-lines and I will try to work within them.

My hourly rate at present is £30, with a minimum invoice of two hours.

If you're a charity, then I may work for you for free. The above applies, but time constraints might be even more limiting. Give me a call anyway and I'll see what I can do.

Any general work, such as tweaking bits of stuff here and there, is charged at my hourly rate.
